Winter Blusters On, Snow’s in the Forecast – Again

West Des Moines might not see the 40s until mid-week.

Winter has dug in and is refusing to make way for spring.

More snow is in the forecast for the weekend in West Des Moines, according to the National Weather Service. It could start with snow showers this afternoon.

As the storm is tracking now, it could reach the metro by Saturday afternoon or early evening and hang around for up to a day and dumping 1-2 inches of snow before exiting Sunday morning.

Snow chances Saturday night and Sunday are 50 percent.

Temperatures will remain below normal, remaining in the mid-30s through Monday, when flurries are expected to leave the area.
