Winter Storm Rocky Moving Through the Plains: What’s in Store for West Des Moines?
Some areas pummeled by Q are expected to get hit again by Winter Storm Rocky.

Q fizzled out before it hit West Des Moines, but Winter Storm Rocky may bring snow to the area Tuesday.
“Sometimes the atmosphere locks into repeating patterns, bringing repeated bouts of rain or snow, or a lack thereof,” The Weather Channel says. “Such appears to be the case headed into next week, as yet another winter storm, Winter Storm Rocky, is targeting the Plains and Midwest, in some of the same areas impacted by Winter Storm Q.”
The National Weather Service forecast for West Des Moines calls for a slight chance of light snow today and tonight, but a 70 percent chance Tuesday. Accumulation looks to be less than 3 inches.Snow could continue through Wednesday before skies clear Thursday.
