Woman Tells West Des Moines Police Someone’s Been Gluing Her Door Shut
Woman tells police someone is "trying to mess with her."

It appears someone is harassing a 27-year-old West Des Moines woman who told police she has twice come home from work at night to find the lock to her apartment filled with a fast-acting adhesive, making it impossible for her to get into her house.
The last time was early Friday shortly before 5 a.m., according to a report on file at the . The woman, who lives in the 5000 block of E.P. True Parkway, said she’s also had intermittent problems with someone turning off the power to her apartment.
She told Officer Maggie Carrington that she leaves the light and television on when she’s not home. When she came home Friday from her job at a nightclub, the power was off and her apartment was dark.
“She said she has had repeated problems with the power going out in her apartment,” Carrington wrote in her report. “Each time, she goes down to the unlocked room on the ground floor that houses the breakers and is able to fix the problem.”
According to the police report, the woman brought the problem to the attention of the complex’s maintenance department. “They thought someone might be trying to mess with her since it was only her apartment having trouble.”
