Yard Waste Pick-Up Season Is About to End
Residents can use CompostIt! bags to get rid of leaves, garden waste and those decaying Halloween pumpkins.

A City of West Des Moines News Release
The CompostIt! season ends Friday, Nov. 30, in West Des Moines depending on the weather, but could end sooner if snow strikes early, the city said.
In addition to yard waste, residents may include garden waste, leaves, brush and decaying vegetables, including pumpkins from Halloween. This date also applies to the Premium Yard Waste Program, according to a city news release.
After Nov. 30, the next opportunity for residents to dispose of yard waste will be after the holidays: Dec. 31 through Jan. 11, 2013.
