• From new location in Besse Hotel, Small Business Development Center helps entrepreneurs bring concepts to life (pittstate.edu) — Pittsburg's Small Business Development Center has moved into the renovated Besse Hotel downtown, making it easier for local entrepreneurs to get free or low-cost help with planning and financing. The center is now guiding alumni opening Social South, a new south-side restaurant and social club planned for the former Chatters space, aimed at adding fresh dining and gathering options for residents and visiting Pitt State alumni.
• Lavra Krizanic Named MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week (esuhornets.com) — Emporia State volleyball standout Lavra Krizanic has been named MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week after a dominant 5-0 run, and her team's next stop is Pittsburg State this Friday.
