Backed by major international investors, the system is designed to meet rising Kansas energy demand without raising local power bills, while limiting extra water use and noise for nearby neighbors. 
• Highway 281 closed south of Pratt after head-on crash (ksn.com) — U.S. Highway 281 is shut down just south of Pratt after a head-on crash between a semi and a passenger vehicle, and drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes. The closure stretches between Lake Road/10th Street and 50th Road, with no estimate yet on when traffic will reopen or details on injuries.
• The Race to the ITA Cup: Recapping Opening Play of ITA Regional Small College Championships (wearecollegetennis.com) — Pratt Community College tennis players made a strong showing at the ITA Regional Small College Championships, with Koshiro Nakamae winning men’s singles and a Pratt duo taking men’s doubles in the Central Region. The women’s Central Region event, also at Pratt Community College, saw Cowley College athletes claim the titles as players nationwide competed for spots at the ITA Cup.
