Things to Do Outside Over Spring Break
- Rent a bicycle through Bike Share ICT and go on an urban art tour exploring Wichita’s unique outdoor art installations or downtown murals
- See what’s blooming at Botanica Wichita and take a ride on the Khicha Family Carousel
- Explore Veterans Memorial Park or the Great Plains Nature Center
- Learn about Wichita’s iconic Keeper of the Plains
- Spend a day playing at Wichita’s entertainment complexes: All-Star Sports in west Wichita or All-Star Adventures in east Wichita—both have a variety of indoor and outdoor attractions
- Explore the Kansas Wildlife Habitat for free at Riverside Park (daily feedings at noon with talks from the exhibit caretaker)
- Journey around the world at Sedgwick County Zoo to see 3,000 individual animals of nearly 400 species
- Book an animal meet & greet or enjoy the animal encounters at Tanganyika Wildlife Park, opening for the season on March 13
- Hit the courts at Chicken N Pickle (bocce ball, shuffleboard, pickleball indoor/outdoor)
- Go fishing, rent kayaks and pedal boats, ride the miniature train or a pony and play miniature golf at O.J. Watson Park (season opens March 19)
