McDonald’s Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Community members are invited to celebrate the grand opening of a new locally owned and operated McDonald’s restaurant in Louisville with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, May 12 from 10am-12pm.
The new restaurant, owned and operated by Jon Peter, will open with 55 crew members and 10 managers. During the ceremony, Peter will announce monetary donations to local organizations and launch weekly Family Nights, featuring $2.49 Happy Meals every Tuesday from 5 -7 pm.
The celebration will include McDonald’s merchandise giveaways, inflatable play equipment for kids, a TV raffle on opening day, weekly raffles throughout May, menu item and dessert samples, and a free small specialty beverage promotion from May 4 to 9.

This new McDonald’s restaurant will be Jon Peter’s nineth location. Jon is a third-generation Owner/Operator, as his father and grandfather opened their first McDonald’s restaurant in 1974 in Radcliff, KY. Jon and his brother, Bru, will soon own and operate a total of 16 McDonald’s locations across Kentucky. 100% of Louisville McDonald’s are locally owned and operated, and 1 in 3 Louisville owner/operators began their careers as McDonald’s employees.
