Louisville – Councilwoman Cassie Chambers Armstrong (D-8) is pleased to announce that the July Neighborhood Nights will take place Wednesday, July 21st. Featured entertainment will run from 6-8pm, and the trolley will run from 5-9pm.

This month’s Neighborhood Nights features a special musical performance from State Senator Morgan McGarvey, Minority Leader of the Kentucky State Senate. Senator McGarvey will perform live music with his law school classmate and friend, David Bryant. They will be located in front of the soon-to-open Bellweather Hotel, located at the corner of Bardstown Rd. and Rosewood Ave, from 6pm-8pm.

“I don’t play many musical performances these days,” the Senator said, “and I’m looking forward to shaking off the dust and playing at Neighborhood Nights. Events like this are a great way to build community, and I’m glad to be able to do my part to support the businesses on Bardstown Road.”

Councilwoman Armstrong said: “I’m so grateful to Senator McGarvey for agreeing to perform at Neighborhood Nights. It’s fun for Highlands residents to see a different side of their elected officials, and I know it will bring a lot of people out to enjoy the corridor.”

In addition to Senator McGarvey’s performance, there will be seven additional musical acts up and down the corridor. There will also be free balloon animals from 6-8pm at the corner of Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway. Multiple businesses are also offering specials in conjunction with the event.
