Louisville – Councilwoman Nicole George (D-21) is hosting a Redistricting Town Hall at Iroquois Park’s Sunny Hill Pavilion on Saturday, October 30. The event will start at 11:00 a.m.

Louisville – Councilwoman Nicole George (D-21) is hosting a Redistricting Town Hall at Iroquois Park’s Sunny Hill Pavilion on Saturday, October 30. The event will start at 11:00 a.m.

The community is invited to come see the proposed redistricting maps of the district and the county. This will be an opportunity for the public to learn about redistricting, the Metro Council process, the required timeline, and the impact to neighborhoods like Iroquois and Southside.

The newly proposed boundaries are slated for a vote during the Metro Council meeting on November 11. This Town Hall meeting will give people an opportunity to share their thoughts and explore opportunities for action.

“The compressed timeline given to the Council means there's been very little time for thoughtful community engagement or for neighbors to absorb the impact. Redistricting is more than just a line on a map. So in keeping with best practices, outlined by organizations like the League of Women Voters, we’re taking the maps to the community,” said Councilwoman George.
