Louisville – The Louisville Metro Council’s Labor and Economic Development Committee will hold a special discussion at its next meeting on various contracts in place with the Louisville Metro Police Department and the River City Fraternal Order of Police.

“I believe it is important for the committee to get a better understanding of what considerations are in current LMPD/FOP contracts with Metro Government,” says Councilwoman Keisha Dorsey (D-3), who chairs the committee. “A tentative contract has been reached between LMPD and the FOP, and we as council members will soon be asked to approve the proposed agreement.”

If a meeting is designated as a meeting by video teleconference, that meeting will be held pursuant to KRS 61.826 and SB 150. Members will participate virtually, or in person from the Metro Council Chambers on the third floor of Historic City Hall, 601 West Jefferson Street. Metro Council Chambers will serve as the primary location from which members may view the video teleconference.
