Louisville – The Metro Council Ad Hoc Committee on Redistricting is proposing changes to the boundaries of seven districts in order to reflect recent public comment.
Louisville – The Metro Council Ad Hoc Committee on Redistricting is proposing changes to the boundaries of seven districts in order to reflect recent public comment.
The proposed maps were first revealed by the committee, chaired by Councilman Markus Winkler (D-17), on October 21. The committee immediately published the maps on the Metro Council website and opened an online public comment portal to encourage the community’s feedback. A special public comment session was also held in Council Chambers on October 27.

Based on the community input, the committee is amending the ordinance to make changes to the proposed maps for Districts 8, 10, 11, 15, 20, 21, and 25.

The new maps will be discussed during a special committee meeting on Friday, November 5, at 4:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. The first 30 minutes of the meeting will be reserved for additional public comment. Speakers must register online in advance of the meeting.
