On Friday, October 9th, the Parkland Neighborhood Food Market will open its doors and begin serving the needs of the community.
“This new Food Mart will go a long way in combating the problem of a food desert in some of our communities. Its owner is no stranger to our area. I want to encourage everyone to support Tammy Hawkins, who is a longtime business owner in the parkland neighborhood. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that Parkland rises, and routinely donates food and other essential items to neighborhood members,” said Green.
