What is your professional and educational background?

MA in community counseling, previously licensed as a professional clinical counselor/therapist in multiple states. PhD in Educational Psychology, option in School Psychology.

I have worked in schools, community centers, and hospitals to provide behavioral services from birth through adulthood. I do really enjoy working to develop systems to address social supports for learners of all ages.

Why did you choose this field of study?

I like solving problems and coming up with new ideas for well-being of children and adolescents.

What do you love most about WKU?

WKU is a great place that focuses on student-centered activities. There is an abundance of students and colleagues that inspire me every day.

What is your favorite part about teaching?

The moment when a student comes up with an original idea after learning about an area they are interested in.
