Western Kentucky University Forensics Team Wins Two Virtual Competitions
The team will conclude fall semester competition at the "The Fall Finale" hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln & Lafayette College.

The WKU Forensics Team placed first at two virtual competitions the weekend of Nov. 13-14, including the American Forensics Association Fall District VI Qualifier.

The American Forensics Association District VI Qualifier is a regional competition open to teams from Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi and Kentucky. Placing high at that tournament provides students with automatic qualification to the American Forensics Association National Speech tournament in April.
In team sweepstakes WKU placed first ahead of the University of Alabama, the University of Florida and Mississippi State University. WKU also placed first at the 3rd Online Asynchronous Tournament Series ahead of Seton Hall University, Arizona State University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

- Dramatic Interpretation: Reese Johnson of Burnsville, Minnesota, 1st; Collin Tuerk of Morehead, Kentucky, 2nd; Kelly Lingen of Lakeville, Minnesota, 3rd.
- Duo Interpretation: Reese Johnson and Kelly Lingen, 1st; Rashon Leday of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Reggie Jefferson of Houston, Texas, 2nd.
- Extemporaneous Speaking: Joey Eberle, 4th.
- Informative Speaking: Kellin Robinson of Roseville, Minnesota, 1st; Tess Welch of Houston, Texas, 2nd; Paige Allbright of Youngsville, Louisiana, 3rd; Naomi Desrosiers of Bowling Green, Kentucky, 5th.
- Persuasive Speaking: Naomi Desrosiers, 1st; Christian Butterfield of Bowling Green, Kentucky, 2nd.
- Poetry Interpretation:Noah Gordon of Pittsburg, California, 1st.
- Prose Interpretation: Noah Gordon, 3rd.
