The Homecoming Parade will be held on Friday, October 29th from 5 PM until approximately 6:30 PM. Please note the changes to traffic patterns and street closings to create a safe parade route. See Homecoming Parade Road and Lot Closings Map.

Road closings:

  • Russellville Road and Avenue of Champions will be closed beginning at 3:00 PM while floats are moved into position on College Heights Blvd. The roads will re-open after the last float passes.
  • The following roads will close at 3:00 PM for parade staging:
    • College Heights Blvd (from State Street to Parking Structure 1)
    • College Street (from College Heights Blvd to Alumni Avenue)
  • The following roads will remain closed until the conclusion of the parade:
    • College Heights Blvd (from State Street to Hilltop Drive)
    • College Street (from College Heights Blvd. to Alumni Avenue)
  • State Street, between Kiss Me Quick Alley and 14thAvenue, closes at 4:00 PM for additional parade staging.
    • Colonnade Drive exits south onto State Street towards Helm Library.
  • The following roads along the parade route will be closed until the last float passes:
    • State Street, from 14th Avenue to Downtown, closes at 5:00 PM.
    • Main Street, from State Street to College Street, closes at 5:30 PM.
    • College Street, from Main Avenue to Alumni Avenue, closes at 5:30 PM.

Parking Lots Affected by Event:

  • College Hill Lot closes to new entry at 12:00 PM and must be cleared by 2:00 PM. The lot will remain closed until the conclusion of the parade at 6:30PM.
  • Wetherby Lot and Schneider Lots: Vehicles can exit towards Parking Structure 1 when parade traffic allows.
  • Hub Lot: Vehicles can exit via Hilltop Drive.

Alternate Parking:

  • HUB Lot
  • Alumni Square Garage (validations will be available)
  • Kentucky Street Lot
