Mermaid-Painted House Adrift In Gulf Of Mexico (Photo)
The building is green with lavender trim. The side that would've faced land features a painting of the mermaid, a sea turtle and an octopus.

GRAND ISLE, LA — A tiny house featuring a painting of a blond, blue-tailed mermaid apparently drifted 200 miles from Florida to waters south of Louisiana.
A photo released by the Coast Guard shows the floating dock 180 miles south of Grand Isle, Louisiana. Several people have reported seeing it on Key West, Florida, Petty Officer Travis Magee said.
It was reported to have broken free from its mooring without anyone aboard, a Coast Guard news release said. The building is green with lavender trim. The side that would have faced land features a painting of the mermaid, a sea turtle and an octopus. Above the blue door on one end, a sign appears to include the word "shed."
