Participants spend days in the classroom before flying drones, learning airspace rules, safety practices, and how drones can be used for work like land surveying and environmental monitoring around Louisiana.
   

2. EBR's 100-day cleanup effort concludes in north Baton Rouge neighborhood (wafb.com) — A 100-day city cleanup in a north Baton Rouge neighborhood has wrapped up, with officials and residents seeing noticeable improvements in blight and cleanliness. Longtime neighbors say the effort is a good start but want more consistent attention, services, and new businesses in the 70805 area so the progress doesn't fade.
   

3. Exonerated man, wife return from trip funded by community donations (wafb.com) — Baton Rouge exoneree Wilbert Jones and his wife have returned home from a California trip funded by more than $12,000 in community donations, fulfilling his dream to travel before glaucoma worsens. Inspired by the support, they're now forming a nonprofit, Justice Beyond the Verdict, to help other exonerees who have exhausted their compensation funds.
   

4. Louisiana Lottery Pick 3, Pick 4 results for Sept. 3, 2026 (shreveporttimes.com) — Louisiana Lottery has released the Sept. 3 Pick 3, Pick 4, and Pick 5 numbers, and winners in Baton Rouge can cash any prize amount at the headquarters at 555 Laurel Street. Prizes over $600 must be mailed or claimed at a Lottery office, with in-person hours on Laurel Street running weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
