• 'He's Looking at the Sky.' Louisiana Police Measured a Squatted Truck at 13 Inches Nose-Up, Then Towed It After Its Second Ticket in Three Days. (theautowire.com) — Central residents should know that local police are now strictly enforcing Louisiana's squatted-truck law, recently towing a truck in Central that measured more than double the legal nose-up limit. Officers say repeat violators in Central will be both ticketed and towed, and they're warning that camera workarounds don't solve safety concerns about blocked forward visibility.
• Career night enables EA's Smith to capture LSN's weekly honor (louisianasports.net) — Central football fans may remember when East Ascension quarterback Zaylen Smith injured his knee on his first play against Central last season, ending his year in a 46-32 loss. Now fully recovered, he just delivered a record-setting 454-yard, six-touchdown performance that earned him LouisianaSports.net's Player of the Week and sets up a big district matchup this Friday.
