• Gonzales FD responds to structure fire at local law firm (pelicanpostonline.com) — Firefighters in Gonzales quickly contained a lightning-sparked blaze at the Gauthier & Amedee law office on South Burnside Avenue, where two firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The building sustained heavy damage, and officials are urging Gonzales residents to check smoke alarms and practice home escape plans as similar lightning-related fires can happen without warning.
   

• Arrests report for Sept. 14, 2026. (stjohnsheriff.org) — A Gonzales resident is among several people listed in this week's public arrest report, facing misdemeanor theft and felony computer fraud charges.
