• Many seeking season-turning win when Leesville visits Friday (sabineparishjournal.com) — Many football fans will see the Tigers back at John W. Curtis Tiger Stadium on Friday, trying to turn around a 1–3 start against a high-scoring Leesville squad. Coaches are counting on Daniel Thomas's powerful ground game and a steadier passing attack while a young defense works to limit turnovers and short fields that hurt Many in earlier losses.
• Leesville and Many men sentenced for methamphetamine distribution conspiracy (kedm.org) — A Many man has been sentenced to just over five years in federal prison, plus supervised release, for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. He and a Leesville co-defendant admitted working in a larger drug network, with investigators intercepting calls and seizing more than 200 grams of meth during a Vernon Parish traffic stop.
