NEW ORLEANS, LA — A plane carrying former President Donald Trump was forced to turn around and make an emergency landing in New Orleans after one of its engines failed over the Gulf of Mexico, according to a report from Politico.
The incident occurred after he gave a speech at a retreat hosted by Republican National Committee in New Orleans. The plane was in route to Palm Beach, Florida, near his Mar-a-Lago estate, according to the report.
Trump returned to Florida on the plane of an RNC donor.
Trump's team did not respond to request for comment from Patch.
