Never-before-seen security footage shows deadly shooting at New Orleans strip mall (wdsu.com) — New Orleans police are investigating a deadly shooting caught on security video at a strip mall near Crowder and Lake Forest boulevards, where a driver was found dead in a silver car. The footage shows a gunman firing into the vehicle before fleeing in a black car, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact homicide detectives or submit an online tip.

The case, which follows mixed lower-court rulings and similar litigation in Texas, could shape what religious displays New Orleans and other Louisiana schools can keep on their walls.
