Property tax bills have been delayed by two weeks as the City waited for final approval of the tax rolls from the State of Louisiana, as presented to the State by the Orleans Parish Tax Assessor's Office. The two agencies have worked to resolve discrepancies on the tax figures, causing a delay in their delivery to the City.
"We are committed to provide our residents the information they need as quickly as possible so that they may begin the process of resolving their property tax issues, and in as convenient a manner as possible given this unfortunate delay from the other agencies. We appreciate the patience of our residents and the diligence of these agencies to work through their issues," said Mayor LaToya Cantrell.
