She says the opportunity feels like the pinnacle of her long-running brand, which started locally before moving operations to Dallas and now reaches a global audience.
3. Here's your week 1 Northwest La. superlative football performances (shreveporttimes.com) — Shreveport football fans just saw history, as Byrd senior Christian Maxie set both school and Shreveport city records with 429 rushing yards on 40 carries in week one. The roundup also spotlights big performances from Captain Shreve, Airline, Bossier, Ruston and other Northwest Louisiana standouts, giving local fans plenty of names to watch this season.
4. Coalition seeks state, federal probe of Shreveport police after false arrest case (ksla.com) — A Shreveport civil rights coalition is urging state and federal authorities to investigate the Shreveport Police Department, citing a local woman's false arrest over apartment pest issues as evidence of broader misconduct. Her legal team is now suing the city, warning that alleged failures in crisis intervention could leave Shreveport taxpayers on the hook for substantial damages.
