Shreveport, Bossier City team up for waterways cleanup Saturday (ksla.com) β Shreveport residents are invited to join Bossier City neighbors this Saturday morning to clean up local waterways, from Cross Lake to drainage ditches and bayous. The "Love Our Waterways Caddo-Bossier Cleanup Kickoff" runs 8 a.m. to noon at Lowe-McFarlane American Legion Post 14, with both land and water volunteers needed to help protect shared drinking water and seafood sources.

Grant to support Shreveport families building savings (ktalnews.com) β Shreveport families using housing choice vouchers can tap a newly funded program that helps them save money as their income grows. The Housing Authority of Shreveport-Bossier received more than $182,000 from HUD to keep its family self-sufficiency program running through year's end, offering escrow savings, case management, and financial-literacy support to help participants work toward goals like homeownership or paying down debt.
