SPD seeks man who left with $51K loaner truck; cocaine later found in vehicle (ktalnews.com) — Shreveport police are looking for a man accused of not returning a $51,000 loaner truck from a local dealership and then fleeing officers near Line Avenue and Pierremont Road. The abandoned vehicle was recovered along Rainbow Drive, where officers say they found suspected cocaine and personal items, and they're asking residents to share any information on his whereabouts.
   

2. LifeShare launches biologics nonprofit (ksla.com) — Shreveport residents now have access to new personalized cell-based therapies at LifeShare's Linwood Avenue location, potentially reducing trips to Dallas or New Orleans for advanced treatments. The new LifeShare Biologics nonprofit will use patients' own cells to help treat cancer, joint pain, hair loss, wound issues, and more in partnership with their doctors.
   

3. Notice of Death – September 10, 2026 (shreveportbossierjournal.com) — Shreveport and surrounding communities are mourning numerous residents this week, with many services scheduled today and over the coming days at local churches, cemeteries, and funeral homes. 4. SWEPCO gives $110,000 to Caddo Parish Public Schools (ksla.com) — SWEPCO is giving $110,000 to support Caddo Parish Public Schools, directly benefiting students and staff in the Shreveport area. The money helps sustain Volunteers of America site coordinators who provide basics like uniforms and toiletries, plus extra academic support for students who are struggling, aiming to keep more local kids engaged and on track to graduate.
   

5. Preview: Evangel looks to get first win over Neville in 30 years (ktalnews.com subscription) — Evangel fans in Shreveport can look forward to Friday night's home showdown against Neville, as the Eagles try to beat the Tigers for the first time since 1996. Coaches and players say recent meetings have come down to the final play, and they're focused on cleaning up mistakes after a tough season-opening loss.
