Shreve Memorial Library is inviting the public to get healthy this November. In partnership with LSU AgCenter, the library is offering nutrition classes covering topics of diabetes, food safety, and heart health. Workshops will be held throughout the month at six different Shreve Memorial Library Branches. The community is encouraged to attend. Â Each workshop is free and open to the public.

Shreve Memorial Library’s mission is to transform lives with resources, services and support to create a better world. In partnering with LSU AgCenter, library patrons will learn how to improve their health by preventing and managing diabetes, practicing food safety tips, and living a heart healthy lifestyle. Classes will take place at Shreve Memorial Library branches November 2 through November 29 as scheduled below.
Learn how to prevent and manage diabetes at Diabetes Workshops on the following dates:

Learn lessons in food safety including how to avoid cross contamination and properly store leftovers on the following dates:
Patrons are also invited to learn how to live a heart healthy lifestyle on Friday, November 19 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mooretown Branch, located at 4360 Hollywood Avenue.
Registration, face masks, and social distancing are required for all Shreve Memorial Library programs. To register, contact the branch in person or by phone.
