• And the Beat Goes On (houmatimes.com) — Thibodaux's Acadia Music Fest is marking its 10th anniversary this October with a full-day lineup at Acadia Plantation Town Center, headlined by Whiskey Myers and featuring several regional favorites. Beyond the music, the festival channels more than $100,000 in proceeds back into local nonprofits, honoring the memory of Ben Meyer while drawing thousands of visitors and sold-out hotels to Thibodaux.
• 2026 Fall Festivals (houmatimes.com) — Thibodaux residents have a packed fall calendar, with Acadia Music Fest at Acadia Plantation, BBQ and Bourbon on the Bayou at Warren J. Harang Auditorium, Big Boy's Main Street Cook-Off, and the Thibodeauxville Fall Festival all set in town. The guide also highlights nearby favorites in Houma, Raceland, Chackbay, Larose, and more, giving you plenty of chances to enjoy live music, food, culture, and charity events across the bayou region.
• How Homecoming King Terrance Diggs Jr. made his mark in Terrebonne-Thibodaux rivalry game (houmatimes.com) — Thibodaux High edged Terrebonne 35-28 in their District 7-5A rivalry, with Terrebonne senior receiver and newly crowned homecoming king Terrance Diggs Jr. scoring twice to keep it close. Local fans saw a young Terrebonne squad rebound from a prior blowout and push undefeated Thibodaux to the wire, with Diggs emerging as a key leader heading into their next matchup.
