Experience an extraordinary afternoon where historic steam railroading meets world-class jazz. On Saturday, August 1, the WW&F Railway Museum's Music on the Railway series presents the Jamie Saft Trio, bringing their acclaimed blend of modern jazz, blues, and adventurous improvisation to the Pavilion at Alna Center. Ride a historic narrow gauge steam train through the scenic Sheepscot Valley before arriving at a unique outdoor concert venue nestled in the Maine woods.

Led by internationally recognized pianist, keyboardist, composer, and producer Jamie Saft, the trio is known for creating music that is both deeply expressive and endlessly inventive. Their performances range from atmospheric, reflective passages to energetic improvisations that push the boundaries of contemporary jazz while remaining accessible and engaging for listeners of all backgrounds. Saft's work has earned acclaim across the jazz world and includes collaborations with a remarkably diverse range of artists and musical styles.

Your ticket includes a round-trip ride aboard the WW&F's historic steam train and admission to the concert. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from The Rice Box Food Truck, serving flavorful Asian street food and Thai-inspired favorites.

Whether you're a devoted jazz fan, a curious music lover, or simply looking for a memorable summer outing, Music on the Railway offers a one-of-a-kind experience that combines live music, historic trains, beautiful scenery, and Maine hospitality. Join us for an afternoon where the journey is as memorable as the performance, and where the sounds of modern jazz meet the timeless charm of the narrow gauge.
