Augusta Man Charged in Sex Assault: Police
Arthur Jones, of Augusta, was charged with sexual assault, among other charges.
AUGUSTA, ME — An Augusta man was arrested on sexual assault charges Friday. Arthur Jones, 57, was arrested during a police raid at about 1 p.m. at 7 Waldo Street.
Jones was charged with two counts of sexual assault, unlawful sexual conduct unlawful sexual touching, and aggravated assault, according to Deputy police Chief Jared Mills.
Police did not divulge the nature of Jones' alleged crimes. Jones was held on $20,000 bail pending an arraignment.
