AUGUSTA, ME — It's beginning to look a lot like ... the end of 2016! Parents and kiddos — here are a few important Augusta public school dates to put on your calendar so you don't miss out on any happenings:

• December 22-30: Winter recess
• January 2: No school
• January 16: No school, Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• February 20-24: Recess
• April 17-21: Recess
• May 29: No school, Memorial Day
• June 11: Graduation
• June 12: Last day of school
