Elderly Driver Crashes Through Augusta Little Caesars
An elderly driver crashed through the Augusta Little Caesars this morning as workers were preparing the open the store.
AUGUSTA, ME β An elderly driver crashed through the Augusta Little Caesars on Western Avenue Tuesday morning as workers were preparing the open the store for the day, according to police. The driver, identified as a 79-year-old Hallowell woman, was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt. Workers inside the store were not hurt.
The crash caused "thousands of dollars" in damage, police said, as multiple glass windows were smashed. Police said they were investigating how the driver ended up ramming through store.
"We are very happy that no one was hurt," police said in a statement.
