Fire at Augusta Civic Center
Augusta firefighters extinguished a fire at the Augusta Civic Center Wednesday.
AUGUSTA, ME β A fire broke out at the Augusta Civic Center early Wednesday. The Augusta Fire Department said firefighters responded to the venue just after midnight for an electrical fire. No one was hurt.
"Fire crews isolated and contained the fire to an electrical panel," the department said in a statement.
The civic center was "up and running" by 5 a.m., officials said.
