Five Guys Burgers and Fries Coming to Augusta

AUGUSTA, ME — Five Guys Burgers and Fries is coming to Augusta. A restaurant is planned for Western Avenue at the Journal Square retail complex. It will be the fifth Five Guys location in Maine.

The Augusta restaurant is expected to open in the spring. Plans call for an outdoor patio. The company is currently hiring assistant managers, among other positions.

Journal Square is the former Kennebec Journal property. It now includes Starbucks, Bangor Savings Banks, Goodwill, Men's Warehouse, and Supercuts. The Five Guys is the last available space in the complex.

Five Guys, founded in 1986 in Washington, D.C., operates over 1,000 restaurants in the United States and Canada.
