HopeLine from Verizon presents Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence with $10,000

Last month, Verizon presented the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence with a $10,000 grant. Funds will be used to support domestic violence prevention efforts by bringing together MCEDV prevention educators for a 2-day training summit to integrate new strategies into programming and strengthen the work of educators across the state. This grant is part of the HopeLine by Verizon Program which funds organizations nationwide and collects no-longer used wireless phones, batteries and accessories for survivors of domestic violence. HopeLine by Verizon has donated hundreds of thousands of phones and awarded millions of dollars in cash grants to partner agencies. Pictured above are Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence employees Regina Rooney, Samaa Abdurraqib, Francine Stark and Lyn Carter, and Augusta Verizon General Store Manager, Nichole Mottice.
