Maine Man Charged With Murdering Wife
Luc Tieman shot his wife, Valerie, and left her body behind his house in Fairfield, police said.
FAIRFIELD, ME β A 32-year-old Fairfield man has been charged with murdering his wife. Luc Tieman reportedly shot Valerie Tieman, 34, and buried her body behind his house.
Valerie went missing Aug. 30. On that day, Tieman told police he drove to the Skowhegan Walmart with her and went inside, but when he came back to their vehicle she was gone. Police said Tieman was "cooperative" from the start of the investigation. Authorities launched a search for Valerie; her boy was found in a wooded area behind the couple's home on Norridgewock Road in Fairfield.
Tieman did not enter a plea Friday during his arraignment in Somerset County Superior Court in Skowhegan, according to NECN. Tieman claimed his wife died of a heroin overdose and he panicked and buried her, court documents showed.
