Augusta Social Security Office Moving To New Location

The Augusta Social Security office will relocate to its new location at Edmund S. Muskie Federal Building, 40 Western Avenue, Suite 209, Augusta, ME on Monday, November 20, 2023. Business operations at 330 Civic Center Drive, Suite 4, August, ME 04330, will end at close of business Friday, November 17, 2023.

Most Social Security services are available to the public online at www.socialsecurity.gov and with a my Social Security account, by telephone, or via in-person service.

Many Social Security services do not require the public to visit an office. Individuals may create their my Social Security account and personalize online service, at www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount. Augusta residents may check personal information and conduct business with Social Security, such as requesting a replacement Social Security card online if they meet certain requirements. If an individual receives Social Security benefits, they can add or change direct deposit information online, request a replacement SSA-1099, print or download a current Benefit Verification Letter.
