York County Man Convicted in 2015 Rampage

ALFRED, MAINE — An Alfred man this week was convicted on a host of charges in an October 2015 rampage. Thomas Proia, 41, assaulted a family member, fired off a gun multiple times, and threw a rock through his neighbor's window while a child was nearby.
Proia was found guilty on Thursday in York County Superior Court. He was convicted of domestic violence, aggravated assault, two counts of attempted sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal mischief. The neighbor he threw the rock at was injured, according to State Police.
Prioa will be sentenced at a later date.
