• Silent film festival will showcase Maine films unseen for over 100 years (pressherald.com) — Belgrade film historian Ed Lorusso is bringing long-lost Maine silent movies back to the big screen later this month, drawing on work he's done from his Belgrade home. His Aug. 29 "Up in Maine" festival in Augusta will feature three restored films shot around Maine, with live musical accompaniment and rare glimpses of familiar central Maine locations a century ago.
   

• Issue for August 20, 2026 - The Town Line Newspaper (townline.org) — Belgrade residents will soon see a new face at Belgrade Regional Health Center as family nurse practitioner Julie Tardiff joins the clinical team in September. The latest Town Line issue also rounds up nearby town decisions, school changes, fall events, history features, and obituaries from across central Maine that may touch Belgrade families and services.
