1. Development group behind proposed 'Portland Music Hall' plans to sue city over ordinance (wgme.com) — Portland’s proposed 3,300-seat Portland Music Hall is in limbo after Live Nation cut ties and the development group signaled plans to sue the city. Developers say a new 750-foot buffer for large venues, passed by the Portland City Council, unfairly blocks their Cumberland Avenue project. Supporters tout jobs and music growth, while opponents worry about traffic, safety, and corporate dominance.

2. Portland police investigate report of hidden camera in diner restroom (newscentermaine.com) — Portland police are investigating after a customer reported finding a hidden camera in the women’s restroom at Miss Portland Diner, prompting immediate involvement from restaurant staff. The owner says the device was turned over to police right away and emphasized that guest safety and privacy are top priorities. Investigators have not yet released details about the camera or how it was placed.

3. US Senate candidate Graham Platner addresses reports of sexting women after being married (newscentermaine.com) — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner used a rally in Portland’s Deering Oaks and an appearance at his Portland campaign office to address reports about sexually explicit messages he allegedly sent after marrying. Platner and his wife emphasized their commitment to their marriage while criticizing national media coverage and a former staffer’s claims. He argued the race should focus on policy issues affecting Mainers, including hospital closures and low pay for teachers and nurses.
