Vermont's senior senator went all in for Palestine during a lets-blame-the-Jews rally for the Democratic U.S. Senate candidate from Maine.
Troy Jackson, running in Maine against five-term Republican Susan Collins, better hope the majority of voters are antisemitic.
Jackson imported Bernie Sanders to stump for him at a Maine rally Sunday night, during which the Democrat socialist from Vermont ripped Israel's political leader.
Sanders declared that the U.S. shouldn't "provide another nickel for the genocidal government of Netanyahu."
"While Jackson has been walking a tightrope over his views on Israel, Bernie didn't mince any words at their joint event last night," editors from The Maine Wire posted Monday on the X platform formerly known as Twitter.
Polls show Jackson defeating Collins by a handful of points so Bernie is apparently confident his anti-Israeli rhetoric will seal the deal with Maine's "independent" voters.
Roughly a third of that state's residents are not aligned with either major political party, effectively "non-binary," so to speak, swinger voters as likely to vote Republican as Democrat.
Sanders latched on to Jackson as his default Maine candidate after Bernie's first choice, Graham Platner, flamed out amid allegations of sexual impropriety on Platner's part.
