Baker Newman Noyes Announces Promotions and New Hires in Maine
Top 100 U.S. firm expands audit, tax, consulting and operations divisions with 10 new hires and 11 promotions in Portland

PORTLAND, Maine - Baker Newman Noyes (BNN), one of the nation’s top 100 accounting and consulting firms, recently shared news of 11 promotions and 10 new hires in its Portland office.
- Malcolm Barfield, of Lisbon, Maine, was hired as a staff member in the audit practice. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Maine. During his time at USM, he served as vice president of the Accounting Society.
- Darren Brown, of Westbrook, Maine, was hired as a staff member in the risk and business advisory practice. Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting, summa cum laude, from the University of Maine and his master’s degree in finance from Bentley University.
- Ryan Dubois, MBA, of Lewiston, Maine, was promoted to senior in the audit practice. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College. Dubois joined the firm in 2015.
- Danielle Hansen, JD, of Portland, Maine, was promoted to senior in the tax practice. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and a juris doctor from the University of Maine School of Law. Hansen interned with the firm during the 2015 and 2016 tax seasons.
- Josie Hajdysz was promoted to finance manager in the operations department. She joined the firm in 2006 and is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in business finance at Southern New Hampshire University.
- Erin Luce, of Carrabassett Valley, Maine, was hired as a staff member in the audit practice. Luce earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in management and accounting and a minor in statistics, as well as a master’s degree in accounting from Castleton University.
- Nate Marcet, of Gorham, Maine, was promoted to senior in the tax practice. Prior to joining the firm, Marcet interned at BNN during the 2015 tax season. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Maine.
- Dylan Moulton, of Saco, Maine, was promoted to senior in the audit practice. Moulton earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wagner College and his master’s degree in financial accounting from Rutgers University. He joined the firm in September 2014.
- Andrew Murry, of Falmouth, Maine, was hired as a staff member in the audit practice. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting and a minor in finance and insurance, from the University of Hartford.
- Kelly Parks, CPA, of Windham, Maine, was promoted to supervising senior in the tax practice. She earned her accounting certificate from the University of Southern Maine. Parks joined the firm in 2014, having previously interned with the firm.
- Kelly Pelletier, JD, of Windham, Maine, was promoted to senior in the tax practice. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from Northeastern University in 2012 and her juris doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2015. Pelletier focused on estate planning in law school and is a member of the private client services practice at BNN.
- Dianne Rodrigue, PA, MHP, CHC, CCDS, CRC, CPC, was promoted to senior manager in the healthcare consulting practice. With more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, Rodrigue specializes in medical record review, clinical documentation analysis and improvement, and provider and staff education. She is a member of several industry associations, including the Health Care Compliance Association, the American Academy of Professional Coders, the American Health Information Management Association, and the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists. Rodrigue earned a master’s degree in health professions from Northeastern University and completed a post-graduate accounting certificate program at the University of Southern Maine. She joined the firm in 2011.
- Nick Smetana, of Schenectady, New York, was hired as a supervising senior in the tax practice. He earned a bachelor’s degree in natural science from Xavier University and completed post-graduate studies in project management and accounting at Northeastern University. Smetana is a member of the firm’s State & Local Tax Practice.
- Morena Smith, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was hired as a staff member in the audit practice. Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Plymouth State University, where she was a member of Enactus, the Student Accounting Society, and the Investment Club.
- Benjamin Staples, of Rockland, Maine, was hired as a staff member in the tax practice. Staples earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in business administration from Husson University. At BNN, Staples focuses on serving closely-held businesses.
- Justin St. John, CPA, of Harrison, Maine, was promoted to senior in the audit practice. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting and finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Maine. St. John joined the firm in 2015
- Sonya Walker, CPA, of Scarborough, Maine, was promoted to senior in the audit practice. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Husson University. Walker joined the firm in 2015.
- Sarah Warner, of Winthrop, Maine, was promoted to senior in the audit practice. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. Warner joined the firm in 2015.
- Dylan Wetmore, of Madawaska, Maine, was hired as a staff member in the tax practice. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in business administration from Husson University. At BNN, Wetmore is a member of the private client services group.
- Meredith Wicks, of Bangor, Maine, was hired as a staff member in the audit practice. Wicks earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maine. She is currently working toward her master’s degree at Southern New Hampshire University.
- Sarah Wyman, of Standish, Maine, was hired as a staff member in the tax practice. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University where she is currently working toward her master’s degree in business. Wyman is a member of BNN’s closely held business group. She previously interned with the firm during the spring of 2017.
