Right now, as the state prepares for a new governor and once-in-a-generation education decisions, most Mainers will have little real say in what comes next.
The Maine Citizens’ Assembly on Education Priorities is designed to change that — bringing together Mainers to directly shape what they want from the state’s next leaders and in their schools.
Hosted by the University of Southern Maine’s MEPRI and CEPARE, the Assembly will take place June 16-18 in Bangor. Residents can apply through a lottery system (16+), with selected participants receiving a $750 stipend and other support to attend.
Applications close May 7.
