City Of Portland: Absentee Voting Information For November 2 Election

The last day to in-person absentee vote is Thursday, October 28, 2021, unless you have a special circumstance. Examples of special circumstances include an unexpected work trip, unexpected illness, or Island voter. The Clerk’s Office will be open until 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 28 only for voter registration and in-person absentee voting.

Absentee ballots must be returned by 8:00 PM on Election Day. Absentee ballots must be returned via mail or the external ballot box outside of City Hall and not to your normal polling place.
Absentee ballots can be requested online, by mail, or by calling 207-874-8677. You can check the status of your absentee ballot request by using the Secretary of State’s new tracking system. You can also use this tool to track your ballot once you have returned it.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 2, 2021, and all polling places will be open on that day from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Voters are encouraged to wear a mask or cloth face covering when voting at your polling location.
