Special Circumstances Absentee VotingThe deadline to request an absentee ballot without a reason for the November 2, 2021 Referendum Election is the close of business on Thursday, October 28th, 2021. After this deadline, voters may request an absentee ballot by completing and signing a Special Circumstances Application. On the application the voter must indicate which of the four allowable reasons to request an absentee ballot after the deadline applies to them, as follows:

Election Day Information Tuesday, November 2, 2021 is Election Day. The City’s 11 polling locations will open at 7:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM. Voters are encouraged to wear a mask or face covering when voting.
Based on your residency, you must vote at your polling place. Same day voter registration is allowed at your polling location with proof of residency.

Absentee ballots must be returned to the municipal clerk no later than 8:00 PM on Election Day. Absentee ballots must be returned to the Clerk’s Office in the Merrill Auditorium Lobby or the outside 24/7 official dropbox and not to your polling place.
If you requested an absentee ballot, but now wish to vote in person on Election Day, you may do so as long as you have not returned your absentee ballot.
