At its Tuesday, April 14 meeting, the Portland City Council discussed and approved an order Replacing the List of Essential Services in the Proclamation Declaring a Continued State of Emergency and Requirement to Stay Home (Order 156). To assist businesses in understanding this order and the implications it has on essential and non-essential business operations in Portland, the City has created the list of Frequently Asked Questions. It’s important to note that the Portland Police Department and Permitting and Inspections Department will now be moving out of the education phase of compliance with this order and will now be issuing warnings and writing summonses for violations.
