Maine PR Council Recognizes Broadreach Public Relations for Excel
Prominent northeast strategic communications consultancy awarded 7 Golden Arrow Awards at annual banquet

PORTLAND, Maine — Broadreach Public Relations (Broadreach), a prominent northeast strategic communications consultancy, was recognized for excellence in public relations by the Maine Public Relations Council (MPRC) at the council’s annual banquet. Broadreach received 7 Golden Arrow Awards, 4 gold and 3 silver, for achievements on behalf of their clients.
“Our mission is to help our client’s reach the top of their game by communicating their stories with the audiences that matter to them,” said Linda Varrell, founder and president of Broadreach. “These awards, combined with continued client satisfaction, are testaments to our abilities and I’m just immensely proud of our team.”
For the second year in a row, Broadreach was awarded gold in the Public Affairs category. This year’s award recognized work securing state funding for Mainers with intellectual and developmental disabilities on behalf of the Maine Association for Community Service Providers. That effort also led to a gold award in the Feature/Commentary Placement: Local Mainstream category for a feature article in the Maine Sunday Telegram.

Broadreach took home a gold and silver awards in both the Special Events and Media Events categories. In Special Events, Broadreach won gold for the firm’s work on the Maine Food Network Gathering on behalf of the Maine Food Strategy, and silver for the Maine Flower Show on behalf of the Maine Landscape and Nursery Association. In Media Events, Broadreach won gold for the firm’s production of a press conference announcing the merger of the Dempsey Center and Cancer Community Center, and a silver for the Maine Beer Box Press Conference on behalf of the Maine Brewers Guild.
The firm won an additional silver award in the Feature/Commentary Placement: Local Mainstream category for an article profiling Hospice of Southern Maine’s first poet-laureate, Gene Auprey.

This marks the 8th year in a row that Broadreach campaigns have been honored with Maine Public Relations Council Golden Arrow Awards.
