LEWISTON, Maine – Each year, the Maine Association of Broadcasters (MAB) honors the best of Maine broadcasting. The work of Maine Public’s talented team of news reporters, news editors and videographers was recognized with 10 MAB News and Creative Awards.

MAB gives these awards each year to member stations based on the judging results from state broadcast associations in other states. With such a consistently high quality of submissions, the honorees are truly “the best of the best.”

“What stood out to me was the uniquely Maine stories that our newsroom covers, but also the importance of following issues that take us to places in the state that don’t get a lot of coverage,” said Mark Simpson, Director of News and Public Affairs. “These awards highlight that we are on to something good here at Maine Public and that we should continue making inroads on our current path. Kudos to all the winners!”
