Look out, Portland - the Sunshine Sound is coming to town! Grab your tickets before it’s too late; KC & The Sunshine Band are set to rock the house this weekend at Aura in Portland, Maine on Saturday, August 17 at 8:00pm. The iconic band has been entertaining audiences around the world for over 40 years, and they have sold in excess of 100 million records.

Dubbed the “Founder of the Dance Revolution,” Harry Wayne Casey is a true icon, and he’s better known as the founder and leader of KC & The Sunshine Band. Since the foundation of the band in 1973, KC & The Sunshine band has been featured in every major sporting event in the world, over 200 motion picture film soundtracks, every national holiday parade and nearly every wedding to date. The band also performs live over 100 dates per year all around the world.

"I remember that I always wanted to do something that would make people forget about their problems and be happy,” recalls KC. “I always loved music and I was fortunate enough to grow up in a multi-ethnic area that exposed me to a lot of different cultures and music... from Pop to Reggae to Latin. I experimented at trying to put all three types of music together, and the Sunshine Sound was born.”

The 60s in 2015, featuring KC’s signature dance music sound on covers of songs by sixties legends like Bob Dylan, The Righteous Brothers, and others.
